A POPULAR dogathon is being held this weekend for dog owners and their four-legged friends.

The event takes place at Croome Park, near Pershore, on Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

Visitors will be able to tackle two trails with their dogs, following the clues to collect answers and win a prize.

For smaller dogs there will be a 1.5-mile (2.4km) walk and for a longer adventure canine lovers can try the big 3.5-mile (5.6km) challenge.

Amy Forster, visitor services assistant, said: “We look forward to welcoming everyone to our day for both two-legged and four-legged visitors and help to raise money for needy dogs.”

The Perry Bar Greyhound Trust will talk to visitors about its work and proceeds will be split between the trust and the property.

Normal admission charges apply and the trails cost £3 each. For details, contact Croome Park on 01905 371006.
