FESTIVAL goers dressed as zombies will be looking to smash a world record tomorrow as the Big Chill festival kicks off in scary style.

More than 35,000 music lovers are expected to descend on the annual event at Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury, this weekend.

Film4 and Warp films have invited revellers to turn up impersonating the undead to star as extras in the upcoming film I Spit On Your Rave.

The organisers hope to break the world record for the most number of zombies captured on film.

The shoot starts tomorrow evening from 7pm and will be presided over by newly proclaimed King of the Zombies Noel Fielding from the Mighty Boosh, and will be staged as a live event with other special guests.

Captured humans will be released and then chased through an obstacle course by hordes of hungry zombies.

In order to take part you’ll need to be a Big Chill ticket holder and look like one of the undead.

There will also be zombie-themed DJ sets and make-up stations will be on site during the day.

Throughout the weekend smaller events will be taking place, including a zombie battle of the bands, an undead fashion show, zombie weddings and a zombie rave.

Other festival highlights include live performances from Orbital, Basement Jaxx and David Byrne.
