Whether you are looking for activities for the children, a chance to learn about everything from Romans to Regency, or just a nice cup of tea and a cake, Worcestershire County Museum, housed in historic Hartlebury Castle, has it all.

Hartlebury Castle has been home to the Bishops of Worcester for more than 1,000 years.

Exploring the servants’ wing you will find fascinating collections, including toys, domestic items, beautiful costumes and a selection of historical themed rooms, original rooms such as the scullery and housekeeper's room.

Throughout August visitors are able to view the magnificent State Rooms, including the Mediaeval Great Hall, Georgian Saloon, 13th-century chapel and two new interactive exhibitions.

Children can take part in a wide variety of activities throughout August, including brass rubbings, fossil making, pastel painting and clay modelling.

On Bank Holiday Monday, Hartlebury Castle will be hosting a special teddies and toys event. Children can bring their bear for a picnic at the castle and take part in toy trails, stalls and games.

Entry costs £4 for adults and £2 for children and concessions.

There is an extra charge of £1 per child to join in the activities. For details, call the museum on 01299 250416.
