A PEDESTRIAN was left with a fractured elbow and an eye injury after being assaulted by a cyclist in Worcester.

The victim, who is in his 60s, was walking down Tallow Hill, near the St Paul’s Hostel in the city, and was been pushed from behind by the male cyclist and suffered the injuries when he fell over.

The cyclist, and a woman who was with him - who was also pushing a bike, had initially been walking towards the victim and the assault happened just seconds after words were exchanged as they passed.

Shortly afterwards, the couple turned right into Midland Road.

The incident happened on Tuesday, September 15 at 12.55pm and police are urging witnesses to come forward.

The man is described as white, 16-21 years-old and 6ft with mousey short hair.

The woman is possibly of oriental or Filipino origin, also aged between 16-21, 5ft, of small build, with jet black hair in a ‘bobbed’ style. She possibly has teeth missing and was wearing a bright yellow top.
