GOTHIC artwork by a Worcester artist and author is now for sale at a city shop.

Glenn James, author of the vampire-themed Skaler Stories, is putting his work up for sale at Prana Holistics, opposite St John’s Post Office, just off Malvern Road in St John’s, Worcester.

Mr James, aged 40, of Malvern Road, said: “The Skaler artwork is proving enthusiastically popular with tourists and visitors to the city.

“The work is enthusiastically regarded as an unusual souvenir of their visit.”

Mr James’ work is available in a variety of formats, including A4 framed prints, greetings cards, fridge magnets and postcards.

The store also stocks copies of the 2005 book Ghosts, Murders and Scandals, which Mr James illustrated for county author Anne Bradford.

The artist now intends to add posters and mugs to the range, which he also plans to expand upon and develop.

He has already produced a Gothic Angel to his range of A4 prints called NightWing, inspired partly by the angel of the war memorial in front of Worcester Cathedral.

Mr James originated the concept and world of the young runaway vampire Skaler, and his arch-nemesis Prince Germane, for a series of books and stories which he is working on.

He says a literary agent has asked him to undertake a second draft of the first novel, in order to polish and refine it.
