FRESH plans to build a school for youngsters with severe disabilities are set to be decided by planners.
Councillors will vote on whether to allow the school at The Orchard, off the A4103 Bransford Road, Bransford, to go ahead.
The school and care home would cater for young people with complex disabilities aged 11 to 18 and has been recommended for approval.
The woman hoping to run the school, Christine Hart, said the service she can provide is desperately needed by Worcestershire parents.
But nearby residents have concerns, particularly about an increase in traffic on what is considered a dangerous rural road and formed the Bransford Residents Action Group to combat the plans.
The new application by Our Place School Ltd was sent to Malvern Hills District Council in August, after the previous planning application was withdrawn.
Mrs Hart, a former deputy headteacher certified to care for disabled children, and BRAG will now await a decision by planners during Malvern HIlls northern area planning meeting at 6pm, at Priory Lodge Hall, Avenue Road, Malvern, tomorrow.
