A TEAM of leisure centre staff from Worcestershire will be taking part in a muddy competition to raise money for charity.

Staff from Pershore Leisure centre have entered this years Mud Runner competition taking pace at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire on Sunday, October 11.

They will be raising money for the Midlands Air Ambulance and Children in Need, and the staff are keen to raise awareness in the charities.

The event is the first to take place at the venue, and competitors will be taking on the muddy tracks of the Land Rover Experience course, usually kept aside for all terrain vehicles.

Around 200 plus runners are expected to take part in the race.

Every competitor who completes the course will receive a medal that will be fired by Jon Williams, The Flying Potter who lives on the Eastnor estate.

The medals are made of clay which is the same colour as the mud on the tracks.
