A WOMAN from Worcester who was accused of driving without due care and attention and failing to report an accident has been found not guilty.
Demelza Woods, of Wylds Lane, was driving in the Warndon Tesco car park with her pregnant sister in January.
A member of staff claimed he had seen Miss Woods crash into a work colleague’s car then drive off and park somewhere else.
The 21-year-old denied hitting the parked car and said she had decided to move spaces as there was not enough room to open the passenger door fully for her heavily pregnant sister.
Following a trial at Worcester Magistrates Court, Miss Woods was found not guilty of driving without due care and attention and failing to stop and report an accident.
Magistrates decided the prosecution had not proved, beyond reasonable doubt that the accident had occurred.
