A JURY has been sworn in to try four men charged with the murder of a sub-postmaster's son who was shot during an armed raid in Worcestershire.
The trial of Anselm Ribera, 34, Adrian Snape, 25, Christopher Morrissey, 32, and his 33-year-old brother Declan Morrissey at Birmingham Crown Court is expected to last for up to eight weeks.
All four defendants deny the murder of Craig Hodson-Walker and the attempted murder of his father, Ken Hodson-Walker, who was seriously injured during the robbery on January 9.
Craig Hodson-Walker, 29, died after being shot in the chest at the post office and general store in Fairfield, Worcestershire.
His father was shot in the leg.
Snape, of Camelot Way, Small Heath, Birmingham; Christopher Morrissey, of Elmay Road, Sheldon, Birmingham; Declan Morrissey, of Shirley Park Road, Shirley, Solihull, West Midlands; and Ribera, of Topfield House, Druids Heath, Birmingham, further deny possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The case against the four men is expected to be opened on Thursday.
