A DIRECTOR of a Malvern-based storage, shipping and removals firm has been appointed to its board.

Judith Bennett has been appointed to Britannia Bennetts’ board of Britannia Movers International, a co-operative of 40 privately-owned removal firms across Britain.

In her new role, Mrs Bennett will be involved in the appointment of a new managing director for the group next year and will help in making strategic decisions that will assist in taking the co-operative forward.

“I am delighted and feel extremely privileged that I have been voted on to the board of Britannia Movers International,” she said.

“I hope to assist in maintaining levels of customer excellence throughout the group and contributing towards its training requirements.”

Based on the Enigma Business Park, Britannia Bennetts is a family-owned business which Mrs Bennett’s husband, Alan, started in 1987.

Over the past few years, the company, which was a recipient of the Malvern Hills District Council’s customer excellence awards, has witnessed rapid expansion. It now runs a fleet of five removal vans and holds the Britannia franchise for the Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and Gloucestershire regions.

The client base includes private individuals and businesses.
