WE got the month off to a cracking start with Margaret Salisbury giving advice on “Going For L”.

Margaret, as chairman of the RPS Licentiateship Panel, gave great down to earth advice on what club photographers should expect in going for qualifications.

Full marks to those members who put themselves in the firing line by displaying their own panel of images.

The month continued on a high note, when Anne Miles gave a talk on her own award winning projected images entitled “Digital Photo Art”. Anne’s work depicts the interactions of people, architecture, nature and landscape.

We then had the traditional chairman’s evening, when Bob Oakley regaled everyone with his own personal photographic view ranging from growing up in East Anglia to a career in banking and worldwide travel. His images (and knowledge) of windmills were particularly interesting.

On November 24, we had a programme especially for landscape members when Tom Dodd gave a fascinating talk on “More Than Mountains”. Tom has an international reputation featuring mountain photography from all around the world.
