A THEATRE group which shows children how to be safe online has visited a school in Worcester.
The Saltmine Theatre Group was at the Lyppard Grange Primary School to perform their play “ESCape” and provide interactive workshops which were suitable for key stage two children on the theme of e-Safety.
The visit was organised as part of internet Safety Week, and told the story of Sarah who lives at the edge of a magical forest, who is taught the rules on how to stay safe.
Dave Groves, ICT co-ordinator at the Ankerage Green school said: “It really was fantastic.
“The children left the day talking about it and learnt such a lot.
“The meaning was really clear as to how to use the internet and what to do if something goes wrong. We would definitely recommend this for other schools to watch.”
The three simple rules included staying on the ‘path’ by only using trusted websites, never give your full name, age, address or telephone number to someone you have just ‘met’ on the internet.
