A COUPLE who dedicate their time to raising funds for injured servicemen and women have met the Mayor of Worcester.

Neil Berry and his wife Diana were outside the Guildhall on Saturday raising money for Help for Heroes when they met Councillor Andy Roberts.

The couple told Coun Roberts about their efforts to raise £5,000 for the charity. “It was lovely to meet the mayor and he was very interested in what we are doing, including our bike ride in May from Portsmouth to Dunkirk,” said Mr Berry.

The couple also told Coun Roberts about their charity auction at Worcestershire Cricket Club on Friday, May 14.

Mrs Berry has two sons serving in the Forces – Andy in the Army and Chris in the RAF.

Mr Berry added: “It is always great to see people giving small and large amounts of money to this charity and nice to be in Worcester today.”
