THIRTEEN years ago we moved to Evesham from Bristol that had a large number of specialist hospitals.
We were very apprehensive about the treatment we should have from a small community hospital, especially as my mother was 88 years old.
We need not have worried, the treatment we have received from the hospital and the riverside surgery has been second to none.
Which is why all of the family were amazed at the threatened closure of two wards.
If as they would have us believe the Government are pumping huge amounts of money into the NHS why is there a need for cuts? Peter Luff has it right we should be expanding Evesham hospital not decimating it.
In view of the chaos Worcester hospital inflicts on visiting patients it would seem sensible to keep all of the smaller hospitals open thereby relieving Worcester of some of the work!
Perhaps we should have a breakdown of the expenditure in the hospitals, I rather think that there is more money going to the pen pushers and less to the patient pushers.
