FOLLOWING a month-long trip to the Far East early this year, Ronald Swanwick, of Kington's Stable Studio, is holding an exhibition of his work titled Images of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Ronald's travels took him from Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh City and on to the Mekong Delta, where he spent time travelling through villages.
He then ventured north to visit one of the national parks on the border with Laos, the coastal town of Da Nang and the famous Ha Long bay.
His trip ended in the capital, Hanoi, in time for Chinese new year.
The exhibition includes over 30 paintings in a variety of mediums, depicting the places he visited.
"It was a wonderful experience," Ronald said. "I found the people tremendously friendly and the landscape quite breathtaking."
Ronald will give an illustrated talk about his trip at the Burton Hotel, Kington, on June 15.
Funds raised will go to set up Art-Aid, a new charity Ronald is forming to send art materials to schools and orphanages in the developing world.
The exhibition runs until Sunday and tickets for the talk are available from Stable Studio (01544 230871).
