A BROMSGROVE band will kick off this year's events in Sanders Park.
Blackwell Wind Band, now based in Catshill, will open the summer Jubilee Bandstand event on Sunday, May 8.
Performances start at 2.30pm and finish at 4.30pm on Sundays.
Chairman of Blackwell Wind Band Kevin Pearson said: "I noticed there was a bandstand in Bromsgrove but no band.
"We have now been chosen to open the event and are really delighted.
"A Bromsgrove bandstand should have a Bromsgrove band playing in it.
"We are a band for the whole community."
The summer entertainment event at the park, off Kidderminster Road, will also feature other bands every Sunday and will include puppet, magic and clown events for children. For further information on the events, contact Huw Moseley at the Arts Development Service on 01527 881381.
