IF your weekend plans have fallen flat, then why not introduce a little tango into your life?

New to the area, Steve McKay has been dancing tango for seven years and teaching for five.

His weekly classes at Saxtys in Hereford have gone down a storm and from tomorrow (Friday) he launches the Hay tango weekend - a monthly mini-festival on the last weekend of each month.

The emphasis will be on fun learning in a relaxed atmosphere, and you don't need to go with a partner, as everyone swaps around.

Banish thoughts of Come Dancing, because Argentine tango is much smoother and subtler.

"The basics are very simple and you can learn enough to be able to get up and have a good time in just a few minutes," Stephen said.

"Technique should always come second to simply having a relaxed attitude."

The Hay tango weekend includes a range of events as well as tuition and dancing - for full details call 07790 373639 or visit www.tangoserendipity.com
