AS leaves change colour and the weather cools, autumn will be celebrated in style at the Three Counties Showground.

Around 60,000 visitors are expected for the Malvern Autumn Garden and Country Show on Saturday and Sunday, September 24-25, where attractions include fruit and vegetable shows, dog agility, a cookery theatre and, for the first time, a display of vintage cars.

Bernard Williams, from Bartestree, is organising a show of 30 Morgan sports cars dating from 1936 onwards.

Secretary of the Midlands Centre of the Morgan Sports Car Club, he will be bringing the 1993 Morgan 4/4 he owns with his wife Sue.

A regular visitor to the showground will swap his gardening gloves for oven mitts for the show.

Television gardener Chris Beardshaw will be promoting the use of home grown produce for healthy eating in the cookery theatre at noon on the Saturday.

He will use vegetables from the showground's children's garden, created by Northleigh Primary School pupils, to cook up some healthy recipes.

Other attractions on offer to visitors include the Royal Horticultural Flower Show, Open Gardening Competition and the Midlands Vegetable Society Championships.

Children can visit a farm park and take part in pottery workshops.

Music lovers are in for a treat when The Casablanca Steps "put on the Ritz" and recreate the sounds of the 20s and 30s.

A fast-moving and funny performance is promised from the four talented musicians.

Tickets for the show are available on the gate, priced £11 for adults, £4 for children aged five to 15 and £24 for families of two adults and up to three children. Children under five go free.
