AWARD-winning musical My Fair Lady arrives in Birmingham with a bang, featuring a star-studded cast.

Hailed as "probably the greatest musical of all time", the show will run from next Wednesday until December 3 at the Hippodrome.

Emmerdale actress Amy Nuttall will share the role of Eliza Doolittle with Lisa O'Hare.

The pair join Christopher Cazenove as Professor Higgins, Russ Abbot as Alfred P Doolittle, Honor Blackman as Mrs Higgins and Stephen Moore as Colonel Hugh Pickering.

Directed by Trevor Nunn with musical staging by Matthew Bourne, the show is adapted from Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion and Gabriel Pascal's motion picture.

This performance marks the start of an exclusive 12-city national UK tour prior to its American opening in celebration of the show's 50th anniversary

This production ran for two-and-a-half years at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, and went on to win a total of five Laurence Olivier Awards, including Outstanding Musical Production, and Best Theatre Choreographer for Matthew Bourne.

In 2002 it also received The Hilton Award for Outstanding Musical Production.
