WE should all be aware, when electing candidates to be leaders of any political party, that bright, good-looking, promising, inexperienced, public school educated young people, as attractive as they might appear, have plenty of time to become, experienced, unpromising, dull, older and thoroughly disappointing.
Tony Blair should be a salutary lesson to the Tory membership, voting, in fact, this week!
