The new 3D version of the fantasy Christmas movie The Polar Express is a fabulous festive treat for all the family.

Multi-talented megastar Tom Hanks plays four different characters in this delightful story about a young boy who doesn't believe in Santa Claus.

But the disillusioned youngster hasn't yet embarked on a magical journey on the magnificent Polar Express - a glorious steam train heading for the North Pole.

The train comes complete with all-singing, all-dancing waiters and an outwardly stern but inwardly good-hearted conductor who takes charge of the youngsters on board.

The charming characters are brought vividly to life for 96 minutes on an IMAX screen measuring 22 metres wide and 16.5 metres high, so there's no chance of not getting a good view from behind your 3D specs!

Based on the children's classic by Chris Van Allsburg, this delighful story is bound to leave you full of festive spirit, warming even the coldest heart.

This is the world's first full length feature film in 3D format and it will be showing at the IMAX Cinema, Millenn-ium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham, all over the Christmas period until January 8.
