The beauty of flowers is a metaphor for the romantic beauty of a couple's special day. From the bouquet the bride holds for the ceremony and reception, flowers hold special significance throughout the whole experience of getting married.

Flowerstyle offers a complete florist service for brides to be and can provide floral arrangements from start to finish.

"We are on hand to listen and advise on everything from style, flower type and colour," said florist and owner, Jackie Fleming. "Many brides have a firm idea of what they are looking for and I encourage people to bring photographs to illustrate their dreams."

Traditional country garden flowers are ever enduring but now modern floristry techniques allow the use of lilies, gerberas and even tropical flowers.

From minimal, artistic arrangements to fabulous floral extravaganzas there is nothing Jackie hasn't seen in her 13 years of working with flowers.

Jackie can even source trees to be decorated with tiny fairy lights to add a touch of magic.

"I love to be creative and there is so much scope now to add flair and beauty to any wedding," she says. "The use of various types of containers from terracotta to glass, mixing tall and smaller arrangements, adding glass beads, floating flowers on water or even using candelabras are all ways to bring individuality to the big day. Flowers bring their own atmosphere and are a wonderful visual celebration of the event taking place."
