ROWAN Atkinson and Dame Maggie Smith head a star studded cast in this all-British deliciously funny black comedy.
The story centres on a hugely dysfunctional family living in the idyllic village of Little Wallop.
Vicar Walter Goodfellow, played by Atkinson, is so obsessed with writing the perfect sermon that he is oblivious to his wife Gloria's (Kristin Scott Thomas) dalliance with her brash golf instructor Lance (Patrick Swayze).
He also doesn't notice that his daughter Holly has a different boyfriend every week and his young son Petey is constantly bullied at school.
Gloria feels her life is spiralling out of control. Sick of the incessant barking of the dog next door, her loveless marriage and her adolescent kids' escapades, she prays every night for salvation.
Next - enter Grace (Smith) - the answer to the family's prayers! Without letting the cat out of the bag, her solutions are "dead" funny, and the end, when the credits come up, is an outrageous surprise!
