Three Men in a Bow Tie brag that an audience member had to be carted off in an ambulance mid-show because he fell off the chair laughing.

They also claim the injured man returned the next night to catch the end of the show!

The trio, a satirical singing group that performs "silly songs and manic monologues", are making an appearance at Stoke Lacy Village Hall.

Their repertoire of self-penned material about the pleasure and pain of rural living includes songs such as The Addiction (about what happens if you spend too much time shovelling slurry) and The Pig with No Poke.

The group is made up of BBC presenter and pianist Nonny James, broadcaster and raconteur Chris Eldon Lee and satirist songwriter Martin Jones.

Joining them will be Freda the Female Farmer, who encourages audience participation to make ladies underwear out of farmyard scraps.

Mr Lee said: "The whole evening has a feel of a modern day Flanders and Swann and it's a laugh-a-minute night out."

Three Men in a Bow Tie has been touring for a decade and recently spent two weeks at the Edinburgh Festival but this is its first proper Herefordshire tour.

Tickets cost £10, including a ploughman's supper and dessert. Guests need to take their own drinks.
