WEST Malvern author Rob Walker, who found his inspiration in the Malvern Hills, has just had his first story for young people published.
Mr Walker began scribbling children's stories when his own boys were young and they wanted to hear the same imaginary tales night after night.
"Having three boys, I know what kids go through and I remember what I went through," said Mr Walker.
He revealed that his book, Window of Time, is actually only part one of a trilogy and that the other two books are already penned.
Window of Time is a fantasy adventure story set around two teenage boys who are bullied because they don't quite fit in with their classmates.
As a dyslexic, Mr Walker says that his school days were not the best of his life because he constantly felt left behind.
One day, while fleeing their tormentors, the characters discover a magical tree which hides mythical creatures who are also trying to escape from a bully terrorising them in their land.
The boys agree to join the magical trio on a mission to try and free them from their tyrant and if they are successful, they will also be freed.
The book costs £7.99 and is available from most bookshops.
