SPECTACULAR views in an idyllic countryside location, friendly staff and fantastic traditional English cuisine - what more could you want from a restaurant?

The Four Winds restaurant enjoys a superb location on Hollies Hill, off the Bromsgrove Road in Belbroughton, and on a clear day you can see across the Worcestershire and Shropshire countryside to the Clee Hills.

With fresh, home-cooked food to tantalise your tastebuds, and an extensive selection of wines on offer, you can wine and dine in style in a homely and welcoming atmosphere.

Restaurant owner James Judd, along with renowned head chef Jay Frith and the rest of the talented team, offer an extensive choice of dishes, from the simple to the exotic.

There's something for every palate and every budget - so don't miss out on the chance to sample the Four Winds menu while you explore the surrounding area.

The main menu is supplemented with an extensive specials menu, so the hardest thing you will have to do is make your mind upon what to eat - after that you can relax and simply enjoy the warmth and hospitality.

Choose from around a dozen sumptuous starters, including the mouth-watering home-made pate, prawn cocktail or for those with a spicier taste how about the hot chilli strips (fresh chillis, succulent steak and salad).

The main menu starts with succulent British steak. There's a wide choice - 8oz and 16oz rump, 8oz sirloins and fillets, a 16oz t-bone or if you're feeling hungry how about the 32oz mixed grill?

The choice continues with lamb's liver and bacon, gammon steak, duck breast, home-made lasagne, chicken curry or the steak, mushroom and ale pie, made with locally brewed Hobson's Old Henry ale, to name just a few of the culinary delights.

Probably the most famous dish 'The Belbroughton Lamb' deserves a special mention. This is a generous half shoulder of tender slow roasted lamb served with a special Belbroughton sauce, a truly filling meal.

Fresh fish is always very popular, whether it be seabass or shark. The current favourite has to be fresh lobster thermador, and what better way to enjoy it than with a glass of Veuve Clinquot champagne (available by the glass).

To accompany the exquisite menu there is an equally delicious wine list with over 40 wines and champagnes to choose from, all available by the glass as well as by the bottle.

Food is served from noon until 9pm daily including Sunday, and roasts are available on Sunday (three courses for £9.99) until 5pm. The main menu continues till 9pm.

There is a daily lunchtime specials offer of two courses for £4.95 available from noon until 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

The 70-seater restaurant is all non- smoking, but in the warm summer why not enjoy the views from the beer garden? The Four Winds is sure sure you'll agree whether you go along for a pint of one of the guest cask ales in the bar, a glass of Chateauneuf du Pape and a fillet steak in the restaurant or a refreshing jug of Pimms and lemonade in the beer garden, the Four Winds is well worth a visit.
