LIVE music will fill the air when a feast of entertainment kicks off across the Wyre Forest district this summer.

The annual programme of Sunday afternoon Bands in the Park events begins at Brinton Park, Kidderminster between 2.30pm and 4.30pm on Sunday, July 23.

Music ranging from the 1960s to brass band sounds will continue until August 27.

In Bewdley, the Music in the Garden programme at QEII Jubilee Gardens will include a diverse mix of musical styles, including a guitar trio, Gershwin music, Celtic and folk music and a performance by a local choir.

The programme runs from Sunday, July 30 and continues every Sunday afternoon until August 27. The series of events includes an extra concert this year, thanks to Friends of Bewdley Museum.

Concert times are 2pm and 4pm and they can be combined with a free visit to neighbouring Bewdley Museum and garden tearoom.

This year will also see the introduction of a series of concerts at the bandstand at Stourport Riverside.

These will run every Sunday from July 30 to August 13. Concert times are 2.30pm to 4.30pm and include Irish music, blues and jazz.
