ROGERS General Store in Bromwich Road, St John's, Worcester, has a reputation for keeping customers satisfied.
In his latest venture, owner Trevor Rogers has unveiled a unique bird stand with its own nesting box which takes pride of place in the pet department, along with a range of bespoke dog kennels and rabbit hutches.
No wonder business is booming for Mr Rogers, who bought the former Donnelly's store last spring. It had been established for 30 years and keeping customers satisfied is top of the agenda.
"The business is thriving and we are introducing new lines all the time," said Mr Rogers. "I designed the bird stand and nesting box myself. They are selling very well, as are the dog kennels."
At the moment, staff are busy making space for the wide range of bedding plants and hanging baskets that customers will be purchasing in the next few months.
The shop is open from 6am until 6.30pm Monday to Saturday, and from 8am until 12 noon on Sundays.
The shop has a large area of hardstanding and car parking space outside and caters for just about everyone,
"I look forward to an exciting future here and want to build on the existing loyal customer base," said Mr Rogers. "We will soon be offering a delivery service for heavy shopping goods that will help our older customers. It is all part of the service of Rogers General Store."
