WORCESTER Nomads U9s played Worcester CC in a friendly and lost by 43 runs.
Worcester batted first and scored 302. They were given a good start by the opening pair of Thomas (25) and Beesley (18). Nomads' only two wickets were to run outs by Mathew Wickens and Gabriel Elsdon.
Michael Palmer, Michael Hines and Lewis Austin all bowled well for Nomads but were not rewarded with any wickets.
Roberts (2-3) put Nomads on the back foot, but a good recovery by Oliver Gilbert, Gabriel Elsdon and Jack Elston saw Nomads finish on 259.
