THIEVES who stole an agricultural mower would have had to use a trailer to move it, according to police.

The equipment, a red Tarrup 306 mower conditioner, was taken from a farmer's field in Harvington, near Kidderminster between noon on Monday, May 30 and noon on Sunday, June 5.

A police spokesman said: "This piece of equipment is used on a seasonal basis and can only be moved by hooking it up to a trailer.

"Because it had been stored for some time, there were nettles growing high around it and it may have been quite difficult to move."

Anyone who noticed this being towed away or who has information should contact Kidderminster police on 08457 444888.
