A SMALLWOOD woman died from an acute overdose in a Redditch hotel after leaving letters for her estranged husband and friends, an inquest heard.
Karen Gloster, a claims assistant of Terrys Close, was found dead in her room at the Quality Hotel, Pool Bank, on April 6.
Worcestershire Coroner Mr Round told Friday's inquest that Mrs Gloster, 43, was last seen alive at 6.45pm the previous day after telling hotel manager Lorna Hooper that she felt 'giddy and sick'.
He said Mrs Gloster's estranged husband and friends later found letters that indicated she intended to take her life.
A blood test showed high levels of the antidepressant Citalopram and empty packets of Mrs Gloster's prescribed drugs were later found in the bin at her home address.
Mr Round told the court Mrs Gloster had a long history of depression and a 'troubled personal life' after separating from her husband.
The coroner recorded a verdict of suicide.
