A FABULOUS haul of eight wins earned Evesham Rowing Club the Victor Ludorum Shield at last Saturday's Bridgnorth Regatta.

Two of the successes that helped Evesham be named Most Successful Club came in the women's Eights, while the other half-a-dozen first places came from a mixture of sculling events.

First places were gained in the girls J14 and mixed J13 quads, there was a first for Small and Messent in the J15 double sculls and individual triumphs for Noble (boys J13), Jeacock (girls J15) and Penrose (girls J14) single sculls races.

In addition to the catalogue of race success, the Evesham club also returned home having secured final places in nine more events including Toms and Symonds in the J14 girls double sculls, Shrimpton (girls single sculls), Pollard and Vale (Vet D double) and the Farrar twins in the boys J14 double.
