THERE was a silverware surprise for Evesham United officials at last weekend's Southern League annual general meeting when they were presented with a silver salver in recognition of the end of season play-off triumph.

The new league season starts on Saturday, August 13 and the Robins now know the identity of their 21 Premier Division opponents.

Two more warm-up games have been added to the pre-season schedule with Moor Green visiting Common Road on Tuesday, July 26 and Worcester City making the same journey on Saturday, July 30.

United are looking for players next season to strengthen their squads at under-15, 16 and 17 age groups in the Midland Jun-ior Premier League.

Players who are interested will need to make a commitment to training twice in the week and playing on Saturday mornings when they will be coached by Level Two and UEFA B qualified coaches in preparation for youth team action.
