WITH both France and Holland saying "no" to the European constitution, now we hear rumbles from Germany.

Although their own constitution does not allow a referendum, it is showing signs that it now wants out of the euro currency.

This is no real surprise when you look at their economy and unemployment figures.

And by mentioning the euro, Chancellor Gordon Brown, continuously quoted by New Labour supporters as being shrewd and the best ever for this country, has been slowly selling off our gold reserves and investing the money into the euro. Is this wise, shrewd... or for the best?
