EXCLUDED pupils created a striking dragonfly for a beauty spot near Stourport.
Youngsters from the town spent two months making the copper insect for the Bishops Wood Centre, at Crossway Green.
Children from Pupil Referred units in Stourport, Martley and Evesham put the dragonfly together with help from coppersmith, Richard Taylor.
Head of the centre, John Rhymer, said: "It is wonderful to see the quality of work that these youngsters have achieved, particularly considering the difficulties they have had in achieving at school.
"The sculpture is a club-tailed dragonfly, which is an important endangered species in Worcestershire.
"It is eating a copper insect which, in turn, is feeding on a copper water-lily and so we can use it for teaching about food chains as well as endangered animals," Mr Rhymer added.
