A BAND that has been making music in Wyre Forest for more than 12 years is celebrating the launch of its new website.

Blind Lemon's internet site, www.blindlemon, includes a guest book for fans to leave personal messages, as well as details of gigs, sound downloads and how to book the band.

Guitarist, Nick McCarthy, said he hoped the new site - which has been launched ahead of one of their busiest times of the year - would prove as popular with fans as the old one.

He added the band , which consists of drummer, Danny Koisser, singer, Mark Pearsall, bassist, Rich Morgan, keyboard player, Rob Allen and saxophonist, Tim Pickering, would be one of the attractions at a steam fair at Coney Green Farm in Stourport on Saturday, July 9.

They are also appearing at Bewdley Cricket Club's summer ball on Saturday, July 16.

The band is throwing its weight behind the Shuttle/Times and News appeal to rebuild the Rhydd Covert scout centre by performing a charity concert at the Gilt Edge Leisure Centre in Kidderminster on Friday, June 17.

Tickets are selling well for this event, which starts at 8pm, but there are still some left which can be obtained by calling Nick Howells on 07970 8112465 or 01299 402610.

They are also available online.
