ANOTHER night of great music will be held in Kidderminster to raise cash for our appeal.

A fantastic line-up is set to wow the audience at the Gainsborough House Hotel in Bewdley Hill on July 7, with a night of foot-stomping musical magic.

Taking to the stage will be tribute band 80s Affair and Dave Dixon, a contestant on television's Stars In Their Eyes, who will perform songs by Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond.

Vocalist, Samantha Starr, will also appear at the show, for which tickets are available from the Shuttle/Times and News offices in Blackwell Street.

It is the latest charity event organised by Kiddermin-ster's Upfront Entertain-ment Agency. Every month, the agency hosts an evening to showcase new acts to industry figures, in aid of charity.

Upfront president, Brian Davies, said: "It is a very good mix of acts. There is virtually every taste catered for. The Scouts is a very good cause.

"Everybody who lives in Kidderminster knows Rhydd Covert so we wanted to do our bit."

The evening, which will also include a raffle for Operation Covert, would help determine whether the acts should be placed on Upfront's books, he said.

It will be hosted by Mike Lewis, who has promised to roll out his famous Rolf Harris impersonation on the night.

A former assistant to the district commissioner at Kidderminster & District Scout Council, Mr Lewis said: "I was involved in Scouting for a long time so this is my contribution, my chance to give a little bit back."

Tickets are available on 01562 638100 and 01562 744513 or by calling into the Shuttle/Times and News offices.

l Just a few tickets are left for a night of soul music in Kidderminster tomorrow.
