AN 85-year-old man was attacked in a Kidderminster subway while walking with his 81-year-old partner, it was alleged at Worcester Crown Court.
John Cater, 27, of Lenchville, Kidderminster, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Reginald Fidoe and causing him actual bodily harm on January 12.
Mrs Susan Cliff, prosecuting, pointed out that 50 Worcestershire cases had recently been transferred to Coventry. Her request that the case stay in Worcester because of the age of the complainant was granted by Judge Andrew Geddes.
Ian Suggett, defending, said Cater accepted that he was in the town centre on the day of the alleged attack but does not recall the incident.
