POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously hurt in an overnight fight in Stourport.
The man, in his 20s, had a swollen and bleeding left eye and a cut to the back of his head.
A police spokesman said at least five people were involved in the fight, near the Swan Hotel in High Street, just before 2.30am on Saturday.
The injured man was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital and released after being kept in overnight.
Police are hunting for his attacker, who was described as white, of large build, wearing a blue short-sleeved shirt or T-shirt, who walked away down Lombard Street.
"The injured man sustained a nasty head injury and I am appealing for witnesses to contact me on 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111," said PC Emma-Louise Johnson of Stourport police.
