LABOUR'S Jacqui Smith held on to her Redditch seat in the General Election, maintaining her majority over Conservative Karen Lumley.
Ms Smith picked up 44.7 per cent of the vote, down by less than one per cent on the 2001 election.
Mrs Lumley received 38 per cent of the vote, which was also down by 0.9 per cent on the previous campaign.
Nigel Hicks for the Liberal Democrats made a gain of 3.6 per cent, with 13.9 per cent, while UKIP's Jon Ison secured 3.4 per cent of the votes.

Conservative John Maples held on to his seat in Stratford-upon-Avon, which includes Studley, Alcester and Bidford, and fellow Tory Julie Kirkbride retained her Bromsgrove seat.
