FORMER triumphs were relived for a successful Malvern Sunday football side, during a one-off charity football match.
Re-united former Worcester League premier division and WFA county cup winners, the Three Nuns beat a Cross Keys select XI 5-3 at Victoria Park on Saturday.
The match, followed by a buffet and prize draw at the Cross Keys pub, raised £3,551 for six-year-old cerebral palsy sufferer Marley George from Hereford.
The money will help send Marley to the Peto Institute in Budapest, which offers support and treatment for people with the condition.
Owner of the Cross Keys, Reg Reynolds, said: "It was a brilliant day, about 500 people came to watch the match, then everybody came back to the pub.
"It was a fantastic family event, everybody had a great time, it was amazing."
The event was rounded off by a performance by Rod Stewart tribute artist Stan Terry.
