I READ the article (Worcester News, Wednesday, April 27) about Daniel Scollan's misadventure in McDonald's with some concern.
This concern is not at the alleged shortcomings of the restaurant staff but those of Daniel's mother. When, oh when, will parents actually take some responsibility for their own children?
Parents are very clearly requested to supervise their children, but do they?
No, many would rather leave them to their own devices, then blame anyone but themselves when something goes wrong.
This is the sad fact of our compensation-driven, "someone else must be to blame" culture. Parents, wake up. You brought these children into the world and you are responsible for their behaviour and for their safety.
The rest of society is not your unpaid childminder.
