MOST readers would have been surprised and confused when reading your article 'Police tailor patrols to target time of most crime' (Ledbury Reporter, April 29).
Let's be truthful about this problem, most crime in and around Ledbury is not reported, our police station is invariably closed and a police presence almost non-existent.
As for Coun Keith Francis, next time he walks the streets of Ledbury on a Friday or Saturday evening, instead of going home to bed at 11pm, he should stand in the lower Bye Street between 11.30pm and 1am. He would then see the truth about anti-social behaviour, alcohol-related violence and criminal damage, very little of which is reported to police.
MRS YVONNE WHITE, Bye Street, Ledbury.
