IN these days of constant complaints, I felt I would like to make a change and express my thanks.
While asleep at 6.45am on April 14, I fell from my bed and was trapped between furniture and unable to move. As I suffer with heart problems and asthma this could be quiet serious.
Fortunately, I was able to press the quick response button, which I always wear, so first I thank them for their response which meant the emergency ambulance was here in 10 minutes. I would then like to express grateful thanks to the ambulance crew and the doctors and nurses at the A and E Unit, Worcestershire Royal Hospital, for their kindness and help when I was admitted for treatment for cuts and bruises and X-rays to confirm the extent of my injuries.
Thanks to Beavers carers Debbie, Ruth and Jenny and thanks also to Carol Fletcher and other staff. Thanks also to OT at Malvern Hospital for supplying me with a bed stick, which has given me independence, and to Dr Aidney for all his help and kindness.
A very special thank-you to my loyal son David, who cares for me in every way and is always a perfect gentleman who, while caring, always respects my privacy. A big thank-you for all your help and kindness on this traumatic occasion.
GLADYS NESBITT, Howsell Road, Malvern.
