A SECOND charity shop dedicated to raising money for life-limited children has been opened in Worcester.
The Acorns shop in St Peter's Drive, St Peter's was officially opened last week to support the Acorns Children's Hospice.
Charity chief executive John Overton, who cut the ribbon, said he was delighted.
"I'm sure the shop will be extremely well supported by local people, especially with the recent opening of our new purpose-built hospice in Bath Road," he said.
"The facility is already making a huge difference to the lives of local life-limited children and their families but with running costs of £4,500 a day, we still need to push on with our fund-raising efforts."
The first of the two shops opened in 1999 in Mealcheapen Street, Worcester city centre.
The shops play a vital role in enabling the hospices in Worcester, Walsall and Birmingham provide care and support for children and their families.
The Worcester hospice in Bath Road will help 250 life-limited children and their families across the region.
