Brothers-in-law are setting their aims high to raise money for charity.

Stewart Willis and Rob Harrison are walking 250 miles from their home town of Droitwich to Snowdonia, where they plan to scale 3,560ft up Wales' highest peak, Snowdon.

Just in case anyone doubted their commitment to endurance, they will then return to Worcestershire by bicycle.

They are hoping that donations from friends and colleagues will help them raise £5,000 towards the work of St Richard's Hospice.

"We know patients who are being helped by the hospice and we both wanted to do something for a charity close to home," said Stewart, aged 42, who sets off on Saturday, May 28.

"We are hoping to get lots of support for our tour so we can raise as much money as possible to help the hospice fund their work."

Stewart and Rob, 48, are being sponsored by Droitwich Leisure Centre where they are frequently found playing squash or in the gym.

The two are experienced cyclists, having previously cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats.

Campaigners from St Richard's Hospice are working to raise the remaining £1.05m needed to build a new, state-of-the-art £5.25m hospice near County Hall, Worcester, which will combine all the current services offered to patients with 15 specialist palliative care beds.
