A DATE has been set for an inquiry into a controversial planning application.
Residents living in St John's are opposing plans to knock down two 1930s detached houses in Malvern Road, St John's, Worcester, and replace them with 23 homes.
They will now continue their fight when a planning inspector looks into the case on February 21 next year.
The city council rejected the application in January for not fitting in with the suburban setting but developer Neil Grinnall Homes has not accepted the decision.
A petition signed by nearly 270 residents living near the site was handed to the council.
The planning inspector's verdict is likely to be published two months after the enquiry.
