ACTIVE youngsters are busy breaking out their running shoes and tracksuit bottoms in preparation for a sport-themed event.
Colwall Primary School holds its annual May Fair at 2pm on Saturday, May 14 and this year's theme was chosen as the school's bid to support local sporting links and activities.
Alongside the usual fair, stalls and sideshows, this year's event will also host a wide range of sports exhibits, demonstrations and activities. Archery, fencing, football, running and golf are just some of the sporting highlights.
The event is being organised by the Friends of the School, who are raising funds for playground equipment.
"With our 'Get Sporty' theme this year, we can promote fun, fitness and fund-raising in one go," said headteacher Paul Chambers.
"So much imagination has gone into the planning and it'll be a great event for families."
