A TEENAGER is thought to have entered a back garden in Evesham, stolen a lump hammer and assaulted a 13-year-old boy before going on to threaten a cyclist.
The incidents were reported in Battleton Road on Sunday at about 7pm.
The male teenager took the lump hammer from a householder's shed, walked into the house and confronted the daughter who told him to leave. The intruder said: "I'm on a mission."
He is then believed to have left the house, removing the key and locked the girl inside. The son, aged 13, challenged the man before he made his escape from the garden.
At about 7.15pm, a cyclist was stopped in Battleton Road and was threatened with a lump hammer and his bike was damaged in a further incident which police say may be linked.
The young owner of the BMX bike was stopped in the street. A teenager hammered the handlebars of the silver Emmelle bike causing damaged estimated at £20.
Press officer Richard Bull said that more information was needed to help the police with their inquiries.
