Loughborough 3, Littleton 2
LITTLETON completed a difficult week of fixtures when they travelled to Leicestershire on Saturday.
Last Tuesday, they faced Cadbury's where they were unlucky to lose another close game 2-1. Matthew Cotton scored the visitors' goal.
Two nights later, the caravan moved on to Old Hill where, fielding five reserve players, they comprehensively overcame Old Hill 3-0 with goals from Beattie, Brain and Lynes.
Against Loughborough they took the lead on seven minutes through a penalty converted by Brain.
This was cancelled out by a Craig Hines header on 21 minutes but Jon Gregory put the visitors ahead again ten minutes later.
A sliced clearance from Philip Haines then found Karl Scott whose drive was well saved by the home keeper.
Five minutes into the second half and the hosts drew level after a clearance hit a Littleton player on the back and dropped at the feet of Jason Lane who hit a powerful shot just inside a post.
Loughborough took the lead on 70 minutes after a goalmouth scramble and, in fairness, looked more likely to score again as a weary Littleton pushed forward.
Littleton's last game is the President's Cup final at Stratford Town's ground on Saturday, May 14, ko 3pm.
